A theatre work about climate, capitalism, and crypto. Taking Arthur Miller’s ‘Death of a Salesman’ as its starting point, the show reflects on how productivity, purpose, and personhood have changed since 1949, exploring the role of technology in both destroying and supporting our chances of survival.
This team of early career, queer performance makers and regular collective collaborators – Mary Angley, Lucy Haas-Hennessy, Caitlin Ellen Moore, and Dan Thorpe – will use Adhocracy to develop their text and to experiment with AI text generators, deep-fake videos, and VR technology. They will explore ideas of supposed ‘techno-utopias’ through both the content and form of their work.
