A durational, endurance-based performance that invites conversation about care alongside violence and extraction, queer labour, and socio-cultural debt. Drawing on the ancestral, cultural traditions, lived experience, and poetic practice of the artist, this project dives into bodily integrity, agency, and control.
Daley Rangi is a Māori antidisciplinary artist whose work and words often unpack notions of resilience, violence, queerness, and resistance. During Adhocracy they will explore questions of who owes who what, through intimate conversations and experiments, and develop the physical and spiritual framework for this new work which will include personal endurance as well as a poetic exchange with audiences.
