A multi-channel video work, harnessing and subverting the high culture of opera and classical theatre, and the image of the horse – both its sacred role in ancient Celtic paganism, and as a metaphor for the coloniser. The libretto for this project will be generated through an AI chatbot, trained to act as an oracle.
Katy B Plummer is a multimedia artist whose work explores themes like the haunting of history, the politics of ghosts, and witchcraft as feminist framework. For the development of this multifaceted, ambitious new work at Adhocracy, she will focus on experimenting with the AI chatbox, working with coder Flora Suen and cinematographer/sound designer Kuba Dorabialski.
